Rights Management & Rights Exploitation of Films

We create new revenue potential for film and series producers through the targeted secondary and third-party exploitation of their rights. As a specialized partner for the commercial exploitation of copyright and ancillary copyrights, we ensure that your productions in Germany, Austria and, in the future, also in Switzerland generate additional remuneration beyond the classic distribution channels (cinema, TV, stream, DVD/Blu-ray) – transparently, efficiently and fairly.

We bundle and market audiovisual rights of use:

As a direct – sometimes exclusive – licensee of numerous national and international producers and film distributors, we receive the exploitation rights to films and series for defined territories. In addition, we act as the exclusive partner of filmbankmedia (Filmbank Distributors Ltd., UK), the joint venture of Warner Bros. Discovery, Sony Pictures Releasing and NT Digital Partners.

To this end, we assume the rights to public screening (§ 19 para. 4 UrhG) and public communication (§ 22 UrhG) as well as the right of public communication in accordance with Art. 3 para. 1 of the InfoSoc Directive 2001/29/EC in accordance with the European Court of Justice (ECJ).

These include, in particular, uses in hotels, hospitals, cruise ships, schools and similar facilities. Based on this, we bring together the rights of the producers and rights holders and license them on to the respective national companies in a structured manner.

Subsidiaries:

In Germany, the subsidiary of PEXCOM GmbH is Verwertungseinrichtung Audiovision GmbH (VEA). It is operationally responsible and in Austria the collecting society “RAW Einrichtung zur Assertion der Rechte der öffentlichen Aufführung/Wiedergabe von Audiovisuelle Medien GmbH” is responsible.

The VEA offers you legally compliant licenses for the public screening of films in schools, clubs, municipalities and other institutions in Germany. With our program license, you can show films or the TV program legally and easily.

RAW

As a state-approved copyright society for the management of audiovisual rights in Austria, RAW represents film producers and rights holders vis-à-vis public and private institutions and ensures that its members receive income from the use of their creative services.
